Yardroll never adds a business or a rating itself: every listing comes from the business, and every rating from a signed-in client account whose writer confirms a paid job with it. Landscapers can be the first on the roll today.
The rules on the roll
Fair to clients. Fair to landscapers.
The full rules are on How rating works. They apply the same way to every business on the roll.
- Businesses only. Each listing is a landscaping business working in at least one covered county. No private persons, no home addresses.
- Signed-in clients only. Business accounts cannot rate at all, so a business cannot rate itself or a competitor from one.
- Nothing appears unchecked. Every listing, change, rating and answer waits for a person.
- No pay to play. Nobody pays to be listed, to rank, or to remove, hide or reorder a rating.
- Businesses answer for free. The listed business can publish an answer under each rating, and can dispute a rating or ask for a takedown.
- Writers stay in control. Every rating comes with a withdraw code, and its writer can withdraw it from the account page.
How the roll works

Landscapers list themselves
A business account adds the listing: name, home city, counties, services and a short description. Listing is free, and nobody can pay to rank higher.

Clients sign in and rate a real job
Only a signed-in client account can rate, once per landscaper, after paid work in the last three years: four scores, would-hire-again, and what happened.

A person checks everything first
Listings, changes, ratings and answers wait until a person has read them. An automatic screen refuses phone numbers and emails and flags accusations for a closer look.
